Chase Agheli is a sophomore in the school of Industrial & Labor Relations. He enjoys researching topics in labor policy at the intersection of economics, philosophy, and cognitive psychology.

Heman Asibuo

Analyst

Heman is a sophomore from Ghana and hoping to major in Industrial and Labor Relations. She is interested in policy reform and is a firm believer in strength of collective action. She hopes ULI will serve as an outlet for her passion for policy reform as well as further help develop her research capabilities. Outside of ULI, you can find Heman binge watching TV shows or dancing.

Camilla Bacolod

Analyst

Camilla is a senior majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and pursuing minors in City and Regional Planning and Law & Society. She is also the Co-President of the Cornell Filipino Association and VP of Finance for the Minority ILR Student Organization. She is interested in the effects of urban development on workers. 

Eric Bohrer

Analyst

Eric Bohrer is a senior from Scottsdale, Arizona majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations while pursuing a minor in Law and Society. Additionally, Eric is the co-president of the Cornell Club Baseball team and is involved with Camp Kesem, ILR Sports Business Society, and research on methods of alternative dispute resolution in Southeast Asia.

Katrina Cassell

Katrina Hanauer Cassell (she/her) is a sophomore from Cleveland, Ohio in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations. She is interested in the historical and present role of organized labor in empowering workers and addressing structural inequities. Outside of ULI, Katrina works for the Tompkins County Center for Age-Friendly Communities, is involved with Cornell’s Jewish Voice for Peace Chapter and Compost Club, and likes to read, eat, watch movies, and swim in Cayuga.

Julianna Fabrizio

Analyst

Julianna is a sophomore from New York City majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations. In the future, she hopes to reform labor policy to expand the rights of undocumented workers, as well as create broader systemic change within the field of labor relations.

Liam Farrell

Analyst

Liam is a junior from West Islip, NY majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in Business. He is interested in disability employment policy and innovations in labor relations due to technological change. Liam wants to research how changes in global supply chains due to emerging technologies can affect employee outcomes and organization. In addition to ULI, he is the Vice President of Cornell Best Buddies and is involved in Greek Life.

Jayla Frith

Analyst

Jayla Frith is a senior from Washington, DC. majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and pursuing minors in Law and Society, Business, and Inequality Studies. At Cornell, she is a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, and serves as a member of the Cornell Class of 2021 Councils, an Outreach Chair Coordinator on the Board with Cornell Camp Kesem, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta professional law fraternity. In her free time she likes to stay active, watch and participate in sports, listen to podcasts and new music, and travel around the world learning about other cultures while gaining a deeper understanding of global issues - specifically international politics.

James Granata

James is a junior in the ILR school from Orange County, New York. In addition to ULI, James is on the track team and cross country teams, involved with Cornell Best Buddies and a member of the Big Red Leadership Academy. Within labor, his interests mainly lie within labor issues facing the US healthcare industry, agriculture industry, contemporary labor models in Nordic states and future implications for US unions.

Valerie Kong

Analyst

Valerie is a junior in the ILR School from Long Island, NY. She volunteers regularly as a member of Cornell’s Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and plans philanthropy events for her sorority. Valerie is also President of Reflect at Cornell and a summer fellow at the Institute of Politics and Global Affairs. She is excited to be exploring the world of work with ULI.

Andrew Lee

Analyst

Andrew is a junior from Dallas, Texas, and is currently majoring in Sociology. In addition to joining ULI this semester, he is Secretary of the Cornell Filipino Association, an officer for the East Coast Asian American Student Union here at Cornell, and a brother of Pi Delta Psi. He also works as an administration assistant for AASP. He looks forward to contributing towards this year’s theme on climate change, and improving his academic writing skills.

Caroline Manning

Analyst

Caroline is a junior from Plymouth, Massachusetts majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and pursuing a minor in Business. Outside of ULI, she is a mentor within Cornell’s Youth Outreach Undergraduates Reshaping Success (YOURS) program where she mentors children in Dryden, NY. She also serves as a Human Resource Assistant for Cornell University’s Statler Hotel where she leads orientation training sessions and manages HR projects. Through ULI, she hopes to research the intersections between labor and legislation that affect workforces and lead to the adoption of new workplace policies.  

Edgar O'Connell

Edgar O'Connell is a sophomore majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations. He is a member of the Cornell University Mock Trial Association and the Scheinman Conflict Resolution Club. As a bassist and a cellist, Edgar enjoys listening to, playing, and writing music.

Theresa Oduol

Theresa is a senior in CALS pursuing an interdisciplinary studies major intersecting infectious disease biology and development economics. Within ULI, she enjoys applying her findings to an international context exploring how different societies address labor issues. Outside of ULI, Theresa conducts research in epidemiology and works at the Animal Health Diagnostic Center on campus. She is also a member of Cornell International Affairs Society which hosts multiple Model United Nations events for high school and college students where she enjoys interacting with individuals from around the world.

Hannah Young

Analyst

Hannah is a sophomore in the ILR school from Metuchen, NJ. She is interested in the impact of fast fashion and global supply chains on foreign workers. At Cornell, she is also a member of ILR Women’s Caucus and Student Government. In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading Toni Morrison and exploring Ithaca with her friends.

Tairan is a freshman from Ohio majoring in Government in the College of Arts and Sciences. He is interested in researching the intersection of labor and healthcare, environmental justice, and criminal justice reform. Outside of ULI, Tairan is involved in the Cornell Symphony Orchestra, Cornell Chamber Music Ensembles, and Cornell Speech and Debate Society, in addition to being a ping-pong and tennis aficionado.
